Service Advisor - Fairhope Shop

Sunbelt Fire is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Service Advisor for our fire apparatus service department located in Fairhope, AL. The responsibilities of this role include working directly with our existing customers, creating a service repair order based on the customer's initial needs and thorough diagnostic findings, keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair, and finally ensuring client overall satisfaction with service engagement.

The Service Advisor will assist in the operation of managing a profitable service department through strong customer satisfaction, cost controls, setting and meeting objectives with high initiative for change, and driving sales in preventive testing procedures to be performed throughout the fleet of trucks in this market area. The Service Advisor works closely with the Director of Operations for this local facility and with the Shop Foreman at this local facility.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist customers with setting service appointments, and keeping our clients informed of the status of their vehicles in for service.
  • Work to determine work order is pre-authorized through purchase order or etc.
  • Open and close work orders in a timely manner.
  • Research vehicle recalls, service & repair information with manufacturers' websites.
  • Being able to sell needed vehicle maintenance, repairs, and testing in an honest, ethical, courteous & professional manner.
